Jump Rope for Heart

February 13th – 17th Bennett Elementary school will hold its Jump Rope For Heart event during PE Class.  We will have fun heart healthy jump rope activities for the children and great prizes to win!

These events are held at schools nationwide and not only help students learn about the benefits of regular physical activity and heart health, but also raise funds to support vital research and education initiatives that save lives in our community.

Congenital heart defects are the most common cause of infant death from birth defects. Many children are alive today because of treatments not available even 10 years ago and each of us knows someone who has suffered from heart disease or stroke - it can affect anyone at any age. Funded research and advancements have changed and saved their lives!

Family and friends are welcome to support your child’s participation by going online to make a donation. Students can register online at our team page http://honor.americanheart.org/goto/BennettJump

Each student that registers on the Jump Rope for Heart website and sends out 15 emails, he/she will receive a scented pencil and enter into a drawing for great prizes!  If we reach our goal of 100 participants registered on the Jump Rope for Heart website that send out 15 emails to friends and family, Bennett Elementary wins $300 in free PE Equipment!

If you have questions about Jump Rope for Heart, please contact our PE teachers, Mr. Collins and Mrs. Miller.

Thank you for supporting this great cause!

Bus Behavior
Dear Bennett Families,

Please remember that riding the school bus is a great option for student transportation. Student's who ride the bus are never tardy!  Ms. Mozisek and I are very proud of the behavior of Bennett students when on the bus, however; we would like to provide a friendly reminder of bus rules:

1. use an inside voice
2. treat others with respect
3. keep hands and feet to yourself
4. exhibit bus safety
5. no bullying

We want every student to retain their bus riding privileges by cooperating with the above listed rules.

Sincerely,
Mr. Ritter
